FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, December 31, 2004 -- EarthCam (www.earthcam.com), experts in webcam technology and a leader in webcasting premier events, will webcast tommorrow's New Year's celebration in Times Square for the 9th consecutive year.

EarthCam will produce the New Year's 2005 webcast (http://newyears.earthcam.com), presented by Panasonic, that will feature 12 user selectable live views from Times Square, as well as streaming video beginning at 10:00pm ET and a user controllable webcam. Cameras located in Chicago, Edinburgh, Las Vegas, London, Memphis, Moscow, New Orleans, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. will capture additional worldwide celebrations.

"Since 1996, when EarthCam produced the first ever Times Square New Year's webcast, we have been providing people around the world with an opportunity to join in and experience the celebration in Times Square. It is only fitting that we produce this event as a compliment to our Times Square camera network that is available year round," said Brian Cury, founder and CEO of EarthCam. "9 years later, we are still excited about webcasting this annual tradition and proud to be the first and consistent provider of the most extensive online coverage of New Year's."

Included as part of the live streaming video from Times Square, EarthCam will cover the annual Panasonic Times Square Sing-Along for the third year in a row. The sing-along is scheduled to begin at 11:15pm ET and will allow visitors to see and hear the sounds of the Times Square crowd as they unite their voices in a huge chorus to welcome the New Year. Six members of the cast from the new Broadway show "Good Vibrations" will perform and lead the Panasonic Sing-Along with four Beach Boys' songs - "Fun, Fun, Fun", "Help Me Rhonda", "I Get Around", and "Good Vibrations". As the words appear on the giant Panasonic Astrovision screens, the revelers will join the cast members in singing these classic tunes.

EarthCam, the Official Webcam of Times Square, will highlight the extensive celebration from the heart of Times Square through its interactive New Year's website. Visitors to http://newyears.earthcam.com will enjoy streaming video with audio, multiple webcams strategically located in and around Times Square, interactive panoramas, a user controllable webcam, and, new for 2005, a moblog for users with mobile picture phones to post their New Year's themed pictures. Additionally, for the 5th year in a row, anyone with a personal PC camera will be able to contribute to the fun by broadcasting their very own New Year's Eve party directly into EarthCam's video chat section of the site.

EarthCam will also be on the ground in the heart of Times Square at 47th Street and 7th Avenue with 4 streaming video Internet postcard kiosks presented by Panasonic and 1 photo Internet postcard kiosk presented by Yahoo!. These kiosks will enable users to digitally capture their pictures and email them to friends around the world - instantly from Times Square.
