Press Release
EarthCam Acquires Work Zone Cam FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, March 24, 2011 -- EarthCam, the professional webcam technology experts, today announced at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 it has acquired Work Zone Cam, LLC, a construction camera service provider. While EarthCam had been the sole producer of webcam technology for Work Zone Cam, the company will now assume the sales and operations of the 1-year old company. Work Zone Cam will maintain its New York City headquarters. "The acquisition of Work Zone Cam gives EarthCam the opportunity to offer the smaller construction companies a less sophisticated camera than what we currently market," said Joseph Nizza, Vice President of Business Development. "We feel our clients will benefit from Work Zone Cam's simple approach that delivers economically priced quality time-lapse imagery," Nizza continued. For the user that needs a no-frills camera with modest web integration and none of the additional multifaceted features of EarthCam's more robust Control Center 7, a comprehensive camera management service, Work Zone Cam now fills that market. Work Zone Cam provides everything needed for a company to share a project online with simple integration into a website. The interface can be viewed privately or embedded in any website for unlimited public access online. Work Zone Cam provides a basic easy-to-use web-based access to jobsite images through an interactive calendar and streaming up-to-date time-lapse movies. Work Zone Cam fits in well with EarthCam's ever-growing product line. The company's webcam technology line-up continues to expand. In January, EarthCam introduced the high-end MegapixelCam Robotic with remarkable 29376 x 9792 pixel multi-level, auto-stitched 360º panoramas and the new ConstructionCam HD delivering streaming video via 4G wireless. EarthCam is the global leader in webcam technology and managed services. Founded in 1996, EarthCam provides over 300 products for clients in more than 1,500 cities and 46 countries worldwide. The company’s expertise delivers millions of images daily to over 192 countries and 80 of the top 100 construction companies enabling them to view, document and promote their projects.
