EarthCam Expands Professional Webcam Technology, Software and Construction Photography Services FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, August 29, 2013 -- In the spirit of continuous innovation and to mark its 17 years of success in the industry, EarthCam.net – the construction camera technology experts – is launching an updated and enhanced version of its Control Center 7 Software. A key feature of the Control Center upgrade to version 7.11 is the new tools for interior, exterior and foundation imaging, providing construction professionals with an indisputable record of pre-existing and as-built conditions. EarthCam’s Software as a Service (SaaS) benefits users by empowering them with the ability to quickly upload high resolution inspection-grade, geotagged images from any jobsite to building plans, engineering and architectural drawings. New innovative tools to EarthCam’s construction photography documentation software are automated geotagged punch lists, enhanced image management, marketing presentations and an expanded mobile app. With the image management tools, users can seamlessly store, view and manage all of their jobsite images in one central location. Easy-to-use search filters allow the user to view any specific set of images for collaboration or public promotion. Since the photos are geotagged, they are easily integrated with popular online maps and photo sharing websites including Google Maps and Flickr. At any point during the project, users can generate and share presentation-ready reports of progress to date. Containing jobsite images and floor plans, users can create PDF formatted reports using all of the images taken over the life of the project or can select a specific date range. Presentations can also be generated to view images from all of the project markers or only images associated with certain markers or flags to narrow the discussion to a particular punch list or area of the site plan. As a companion to the online software, EarthCam's Site Map Plan mobile application, enables project teams to take an instant snapshot of their jobsite from their smartphone. Users can add dictations to the captured image and then upload it to EarthCam's servers, where it will be integrated with local weather data and geotagged information. The app has evolved to include new tools for a more efficient project photo documentation process, including GPS and compass calibration which enables captured jobsite images to be uploaded with the most accurate geotagged information. For enhanced efficiency, users can create markers on their floor plan directly from their smartphone for immediate photo integration. Another new feature, the image overlay, allows the user to easily and accurately line up their next shot and use the photos for future image comparison.
