Axis Communications Joins EarthCam's Live-Streaming Webcam Network

New collaboration provides Axis camera users with the ability to live-stream on EarthCam

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, June 3, 2021 -- EarthCam has been captivating viewers worldwide with streaming content for nearly 25 years. Today EarthCam invited users of Axis Communications’ (Axis) IP cameras to feature their stream on EarthCamTV - the leading virtual travel app for Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and recently introduced for Apple TV. Axis users can download the My EarthCam app from the Axis gallery, and immediately share their view. EarthCam makes it easy for users to embed their livestream on their own website and provides personalization tools to create a unique experience for their visitors.

“We’re glad to collaborate with EarthCam on this innovative new way for users to increase ROI on their Axis camera system,” said Alex Walthers, Business Development Manager Technology Partners, Axis Communications. “Many of our clients are located in areas with interesting and scenic views that are advantageous for them to share with people around the world. The EarthCam app provides customers with an exciting opportunity to connect people and allow their IP cameras to multi-task as live tourism webcams while fulfilling other important on-site local functions.”

EarthCam provides free access to the world’s leading network of webcams so that anyone with a camera can set up a live stream of their favorite view in a matter of seconds, and broadcast it to the world 24/7.

In addition, EarthCam is giving away 50 Solstice Cam units for eligible, scenic tourist destinations. EarthCam’s Solstice Cam is a completely self-contained, rugged camera system that is ideal for streaming from outdoor locations and sets up in seconds. Built-in software makes it simple to send fascinating live views to the EarthCam network from anywhere.

“EarthCamTV is rapidly winning over TV audiences and we’re making it easier for Axis and Solstice Cam users around the world to contribute their view,” said Brian Cury, CEO and founder of EarthCam. “EarthCamTV already features amazing locations from many countries around the world and our initiative with Axis makes it even easier to share unique perspectives from the next generation of webcam artisans.’”

My EarthCam contributors are already featuring a huge variety of different scenes, from a spectacular sunny Greek beach resort to a Dallas city skyline, and a python named Eric.
