EarthCam Rolls Out AI Safety Trailer for the Retail Sector Portable multi-camera security system guards parking lots, facilities and public areas FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, March 21, 2023 -- EarthCam, the leader in live camera technology, content and services, announced the most powerful model in its series of Mobile Trailer Cams – the new AI Safety Trailer – at the SPECS retail industry conference. This multi-camera perimeter detection system features AI object and audio recognition, live-streaming video and continuous security recordings. The self-contained, solar powered unit makes EarthCam’s leading AI technology accessible to facilities of all sizes, and is designed to increase safety and security in locations ranging from single store exteriors to parking lots in malls. The AI Safety Trailer generates essential alerts for security, vandalism and theft detection based on visual or auditory triggers. AI audio analysis recognizes specific sounds like verbal aggression, glass breakage, or gunfire. AI Object Detection recognizes specific vehicle types, or unauthorized interactions with equipment or vehicles. The cause of the alert is identified and communicated with stakeholders, and a user-controllable pan-tilt-zoom camera can be used to investigate specific areas of the site in real-time. The perimeter detection system uses two-way audio “talk down” capabilities, LED strobes and sirens to act as deterrents. Alerts may be sent to EarthCam’s Central Station Monitoring (UL Listed, Five Diamond CSM) where trained professionals review the incident, assess the risk and dispatch law enforcement as necessary. EarthCam provides advanced security analytics and software services, delivering a new level of data intelligence for surveillance. AI object detection is far more accurate than decades-old motion detection technology, which cannot differentiate between intruders and benign movements caused by wind or animals. Ultra-high resolution panoramic images are captured – up to 500 Megapixels – to show extreme details that would be missed in traditional pixelated security imagery. The AI Safety Trailer includes a steel mast that reaches 22ft (6.7m) when fully extended, and is available in battleship gray or hi-vis orange to serve the needs of facilities management, security operations or jobsite monitoring. High-efficiency 400W solar panels power the three-camera system which includes advanced battery backup. Dual SIM 4G LTE maximizes data coverage and allows carrier diversity. The power-efficient trailer can be accessorized with a range of other options to meet specific requirements such as license plate recognition, thermal cameras and weather sensor arrays.
