Post-Sandy Jersey Shore Comes Alive in EarthCam Construction Time-Lapse


New York, May 23, 2013 -- As the beloved Jersey Shore town of Seaside Heights works hard to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, EarthCam is proud to be on the sidelines capturing the rebuilding of the famous boardwalk with their live streaming construction camera. In anticipation of Memorial Day Weekend, EarthCam is excited to premiere their time-lapse movie, highlighting the construction for the new boardwalk synched to thematic music to complete the viewing experience.

EarthCam and affiliate, Seaside Realty, teamed up to deliver the unique opportunity for people everywhere to check in on this popular shore town and watch live as local crews worked hard to meet their Memorial Day Weekend deadline. EarthCam's camera, mounted right on the boardwalk, captured 1,440 hours of archived footage. The footage was hand-edited into a professional time-lapse movie, showcasing the 2-month project from start to finish in just 2 and ½ minutes.
