EarthCam Premieres Innovative 360 Degree Technology at CMAA

Low Cost, High Impact Camera Systems That Deliver Big Data From Jobsites

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, October 8, 2017 -- EarthCam, the leader in construction camera technology, is bringing its latest innovations to the 2017 CMAA National Conference and Trade Show, October 8-10 in Washington, DC. EarthCam (Exhibit #207) will showcase the new GigapixelCam X1 hybrid camera, which delivers 4K streaming video plus gigapixel photography, and the VR Site Tour app, creating 360° images for auto-generated virtual reality jobsite tours.

EarthCam’s technology combines powerful exterior camera solutions with portable interior cameras that integrate into a comprehensive data interface for Construction Managers. Utilizing the new app-based solution, available for iOS and Android, VR Site Tour allows users to quickly document and organize 360° photographs to a specific location on a site plan. EarthCam’s unique application geo-tags these data-rich images with existing environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. All the data is viewable as a “street view” guided tour to unlimited users immediately, no post-production is necessary, enabling teams to experience and share daily walkthroughs of the jobsite remotely – in real time. The data-driven imagery provides CMs valuable insight to protect owners against potential claims and disputes. Visitors to EarthCam’s exhibit at CMAA will have the opportunity to view a VR Site Tour demonstration and take home their own personal VR goggles complimentary of EarthCam.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to view high quality images from the new robotic GigapixelCam X1. The X1 is the first autonomous live construction documentation camera to move seamlessly from true broadcast 4K video to gigapixel resolution imagery and features full user-controllable 360° panning, up to 180° tilt and is designed for expansive long-term projects. Throughout their site, Construction Managers can view different locations and critical details with exceptional clarity, using the precise remote robotics and the built-in 144x zoom. The larger, high performance image sensor captures up to 5 gigapixel panoramas, excellent for archival recall and time-lapse movies. The GigapixelCam X1 hybrid, all-weather construction camera is the ideal solution for documenting and promoting today’s super-structures.

Join EarthCam's Lisa Kelly and Jacobs Engineering Sr. Construction Manager Steven Rose, CCM on October 8 for "The Art of Jobsite Photography" and learn how a quality jobsite photo can help promote progress, document milestones and market the overall project. This session will discuss the role photography and image documentation played in the National Museum of the Marine Corps construction and expansion projects.
